UFC On Versus Debut Card Set For March 21st The UFC has made the card for their debut on Versus official. With the addition of Darren Elkins vs. Duane Ludwig the eleven bout card is set for March 21st in Colorado.<br><br>
The card features a light heavyweight bout between Jon Jones and Brandon Vera in the main event slot. A heavyweight match up between Junior dos Santos and Gabriel Gonzaga is also on the card while Paul Buentello vs. Cheick Kongo and James Irvin vs. Alessio Sakara round off the main card action.<br><br>

Martin Kampmann Vs. Paulo Thiago Agreeed To For UFC 115 According to a report on the <a href=http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/mar/09/martin-kampmann-vs-paulo-thiago-works-ufc-115/>Las Vegas Sun website</a>, welterweights Paulo Thiago and Martin Kampmann have verbally agreed to face each other at UFC 115 when the UFC makes its debut in Vancouver, BC on June 15th.<br><br>
Kampmann was forced out of a UFC 111 bout with Ben Saunders due to a cut sustained in training. He won his last bout by submission against Jacob Volkmann.<br><br>
Thiago, holds a 13-1 record and has won three of four bouts in the UFC. He has beaten Mike Swick and Josh Koscheck convincingly and lost a unanimous decision to Jon Fitch. <br><br>
The match up could have potential welterweight title implications, with the winner possibly finding himself in a number one contenders match up.

Tuesday that both fighters have agreed to meet one another and are
expected to put pen to paper soon.
While not yet officially announced, UFC 115 is expected to take place
June 12 at GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. The night's main
card airs on pay-per-view.
The potential bout was first reported by The Las Vegas Sun, and MMAjunkie.com has since confirmed that both fighters have verbally agreed to the fight, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

While U.S. subscribers of the satellite television service are still
waiting anxiously to hear if DirecTV and Versus will resolve their
differences in time for this month's debut UFC event on the network,
the fight promotion is ensuring MMA fans worldwide will see the event.

will air on a host of countries outside of the U.S., including
Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the U.K.
Alessio Sakara vs. James Irvin promoted, completes UFC on Versus 1 main card A potential slugfest between Alessio Sakara and James Irvin has been promoted to main-card status at UFC on Versus 1 and brings to four the number of televised bouts for the event, MMAjunkie.com has confirmed with event officials.
UFC on Versus 1 takes place Sunday March 21 at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo.
It's the first UFC card televised live on the cable channel, and light heavyweights Brandon Vera and Jon Jones fight in the evening's main event.
While the company's handling of its champions and current relationship
with M-1 Global and Fedor Emelianenko have come under a bit of fire,
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker recently told MMAjunkie.com that he's just fine with the current path of his
fight promotion.
"I think every goal that we set out last year, we've done that and then some," Coker said.
At this past weekend's WEC 47 event in Columbus, Ohio, Joseph Benavidez
stunned Torres with a one-sided submission win and likely earned
himself a shot at the 135-pound title. But Scott Jorgensen also landed
one of the more memorable finishes in recent memory in his bout with
Chad George, and he made a legitimate claim for contender status.
The as-yet-unannounced Spike TV event is expected for June 19 in Las
Vegas, though its location is unknown at this time. MMAjunkie.com first reported the heavyweight matchup last week,
though at the time, it was uncertain on which card the two would fight.
"TUF 11," which features UFC legends Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell as
coaches, features middleweight fighters bidding for the much ballyhooed
"six-figure" UFC contract.
Hamman, a former University of Redlands linebacker and defensive end who faces Rodney Wallace at UFC 111 on March 27, had slept just eight hours in the three days prior to the Nov. 15 fight.

Tyler Stinson Latest Addition To Bellator Line, Wins Open Try Out KANSAS CITY (March 8, 2010) ? Tyler Stinson, a 24-year-old native of Winfield, Kan., was the unanimous winner of an open tryout sponsored by Bellator Fighting Championships on Saturday, earning him a chance to fight in Bellator?s upcoming nationally-televised event at the Kansas City Power & Light District on April 29th.<br><br>
Stinson was one of 72 fighters from as far away as New York, California, Texas and Arizona to travel to Lenexa, Kan., for the tryout, which was judged by Bellator founder and CEO Bjorn Rebney and a panel of other top Bellator talent executives. Participants included former veterans of the WEC, IFL and other top promotions.<br><br>
?The talent level that we saw at this tryout was very solid,? Rebney said. ?To have fighters come in on busses, trains and planes from around the country is very humbling. These guys just want a shot and I only wish that we could give that opportunity to every one of them. Stinson, though just 24, boasts a professional record of 16-5 in a wide variety of regional promotions across the Midwest and in Florida. Notably, he is one of only two fighters to notch a victory against 17-2 Eric Marriott, a competitor in Bellator?s upcoming eight-man featherweight tournament. Stinson will enter the April 29th Bellator event on a three-fight win-streak with all three wins coming via first round stoppages (armbar, triangle choke and TKO-punches).<br><br>
